so, back in middle school before the iPhone was invented (HOW did we survive…), before everyone and their moms owned a mac, and before ipods were as popular as they are now, my friend nathan would always talk about how much he disliked apple products. Now, nathan has always had wild theories on just about any topic that you could come across. From aliens, to under water creatures, to the political system, it goes without saying that we’ve had some pretty extrordinary (and lengthy) talks.
One in particular, his justification for not being a fan of apple, was pretty inginious. I don’t know if I was more creeped out or proud of him for coming up with such an obvious-answer-type thought when he finally elaborated. His theory? Apple is the Devil. Or at least closely related/ intertwined with the Devil.
A little background on nathan: he was the absolute bare definition of a computer/ video game nerd. He believed in God, although not tightly involved in religion (much like i was at the time). He didn’t do drugs (at the time… or at least that I know of), and all his friends (aside from me and maybe two others) were also nerds.
The reason I say this is because at the time, I thought: how could a computer nerd who loves video games NOT like apple products?! THEYRE AWESOME! Super high resolution to play games on, a lot of technological crap to work on/ learn from, right??… shouldn’t a mac be his ultimate playground? Well, not him. He honestly believed Apple was the Devil.

And I know he didn’t make this so it makes me happy to know there are other people currently out there with wild and crazy imaginations who think of this kinda stuff just like him.
…by the way, Nathan now own an iPhone. Go figure.
